I totally know what you mean- I've had five hours of volleyball and squatting exercises after being out of shape the whole summer..

Try taking an ice bath- fill the tub up with lukewarm/slightly cold water and put ice cubes in it.. Sit in for only about 10-15 minutes, because I'm pretty sure you won't be wanting frostbite.. It really helps- we do it after volleyball tournaments.. It also helps to massage it, even if it hurts when you do.. You can also try ice massaging- freeze water in a dixie up or something, then peel off the sides, and massage it up and down your legs..

Good luck! Sore legs are a killer- especially when you try to get out of bed.. Health Question & Answer

we always have our athletes take cold tubs after practices/games to help with the soreness.. don't take a SUPER cold tub, cold enough to cause frost bite (obviously).. we usually have water thats lukewarm and add in a few scoops of ice..

usually sitting in there 12-20 minutes will be plenty.. best of luck to you at soccer!!Health Question & Answer

cold is always better to do first.. if you do heat, it can cause your muscles to swell and make it worse.. cold will make it contract, and numb.. It helps the healing progress.. not as fun, but more effective.. plus...... if you continue to exercise, it will get better faster than if you stop running..Health Question & Answer

Cold.. Try filling a bathtub with cold water and put ice cubes in it.. The cold will feel better and also if your legs are swelling it will make the swelling go down..Health Question & Answer

cold because it shrinks the moloquels in ur legs or what ever and causes your leg to go numb like at the ocean or put ice on it
