Is there anything I should do for this mosquito bite near my toddler's eye?!

Question: Is there anything I should do for this mosquito bite near my toddler's eye.?
My son, 22 months, got a mosquito bite about 1/2 inch away from his eye.. Now his entire eye area is swollen.. It doesn't seem to bother him, but he looks extremely pitiful.. I can't put anything on it since it is so close to his eye, but should I do something else for it.? He has always had horrible reactions to bites, so that part of it is nothing new.. He has never had one this close to his eye before though..

Any advice or past experience is welcomed and appreciated..Health Question & Answer

I got the same thing 2 years ago and I went to the doctor and he told me to put slices of cold cucumbber on it or wrap ice cubes in a napkin so it's not directly on the skin.. Just to give you an idea, my eye returned to normal in a week..

Have you called a pharmacist or your pediatrician for advice.? I know they have anti -itch creams, but due to the area in which you're speaking, that doesn't sound practical.. Ask your pediatrician or a pharmacist.. Ever hear of after-bite.? It's an on the spot dabber for bites, but depending on how close to the eye it is, it may not be usable..Health Question & Answer

I would take your son to hospital because they can prescribe anti biotics to stop it getting worse.. Eyes are very important and he may want to scratch..Health Question & Answer

don't touch it so it doesn't swell anymore.. if you notice anything major, go straight to E..R..
