Try ORAGEL....the kind for dentures is waxy ......I tried it when the store was out of the other kind......it works just about as well as anything......other wise ask your doctor for lozenges that provide a bit of anesthesia........i am SURE that you will find the answer that you are looking for....what I mentioned did work for me when I had a severe toothache and it did numb my tongue!
