Question: I am allergic to Skelaxin (muscle relaxer), does that mean I might have an allergic reaction to Flexeril.?

I had wisdom teeth removal, but now my jaw muscles have locked up.. My doc prescribed me meds, but I wasn't payin attention, and I didn't know it was a muscle relaxer 'til now..

I had an allergic reaction to Skelaxin, so I am afraid to take Flexeril, but my muscles are hurting and are really tight, so I need to take it as soon as possible..

I tried to research the 2 meds but couldn't find anything that showed a relation between having a reaction to Skelaxin and taking Flexeril instead.. I would definitely call an on call doc ASAP especially with a locked jaw! That doesn't sound kosher.. Good luck sorry I couldn't give more insight..Health Question & Answer
