Tick bite on a 9 year old!

Question: Tick bite on a 9 year old

My 9 year old had a tick on him.. He removed it but there is a red spot.. Does he have to go to the doctor or do we wait and see if he runs a fever.?
I have never had to deal with this before..

I made him rub Purell on it then we put Neosporin on it..Health Question & Answer
