How long does it take axillary (armpit) incision to heal?!

Question: How long does it take axillary (armpit) incision to heal.?
I had breast implants through my armpit and was wondering how long it would take the incision site to heal.? The stitches dissolve......
I'm too scared to shave anywhere directly near the incision so I was just wondering...... is it safe to shave over it.?.?

It's healing perfectly the doctor said so I have no draining..Health Question & Answer

Answers:
I had breast implants via the armpit approach.. It took about under two weeks to heal.. No, I wouldn't advise shaving near or over it for awhile.. It might cause an infection.. Patience.. Health Question & Answer

HI! I would most definitely NOT shave there.. also, your healing time can vary with how you take care of the incision.. When I get an incision, I always use a capsule of vitamin E.. I take a sterilized pin and put a hole in the capsule then put the contents on the incision.. It helps with healing and it makes the scar less noticeable.. Good Lock!
p..s.. if you shave there you stand the chance of getting a lose hair in the cut and that will make it fester..Health Question & Answer

how long did the doctor say to wait before shaving.? i would shave, but maybe just avoid the small area where the incision is, and i would shave very carefully.. if it gets too sore, then maybe just trim the hair with manicure scissors until its healed a bit more..Health Question & Answer

It might take a couple more weeks depending on how well you take care of it.. Health Question & Answer
