It could be a nerve that has been pinched in your neck.. also I have heard the numbness of your hand can be a sign of a stroke.. You seriously need medical attention, just to rule out anything major.. My mother has a pinched nerve in her neck from a car accident and her fingers and arm goes numb from time to time.. Good luck I hope this helps..Health Question & Answer
More that likley it is a pinched nerve in your neck, and I would not reccomend surgery.. Try Chiropractic treatment, or more physical therapy....Perhaps you might have a herniated disc in your neck.. You might need an MRI, I would try anything before I do surgery.. My dad had the neck surgery, and is in more pain now then when he startedHealth Question & Answer
