Question: New York City..............is this true.?
I really need to know but am unable to find any information on this: Is it true that in NYC you are required to have health insurance or you can be put in jail.? My boyfriend is not going to be a student as of next month and will lose his health insurance.. If he is caught (e..x.. needs to go to the hospital for a broken bone) without it could he really go to jail.? Thanks Health Question & Answer

I don't think it is like that.. Here in MA you have to have health ins.. You cannot even file taxes unless you have ins.. I think it is mandatory, but you won't go to jail..Health Question & Answer
