Nothing really just that is the color of ear wax.. Sometimes when an infection occurs in the ear canal, the ear will produce a darker color brown/black color, depending on the type and length of the infection.. You should have your ears professionally cleaned and/or ear candled at least twice a year in order to ensure that no persistent infection takes root.. Health Question & Answer
