not if its a one time thing.. otherwise, yes.. very unhealthy.. theres no windows, so even though the ac or heater may be on, the air is not fresh.. theres lots of carbon dioxide and not enough good oxygen.. also, depending on your blood pressure, some people may or may not handle the temperature in a place that low.. you can get headaches and so on.. but it depends really....i know a man who literally lived in his basement.. he was fine, but often got colds.. It's not unhealthy PHYSICALLY, but if you make yourself scared like that there's ghosts or something down there, or if it's colder then upstairs, you'll start to have bad dreams and then you will be MENTALLY unhealthy.. Just don't let dumb things get to you, and make sure it's warm down there and then no it's not at all unhealthy to live in a basemeant..Health Question & Answer
