Usually what helps me after I'm sore from running, I fill my bath tub with hot-warm water and sit in there for a good 30 minutes.. It should help relax your muscles.. Health Question & Answer

Stretch your muscles that are sore, it will feel much better, do this before you go to sleep when you wake up, and before practice.. also if it is really hurting at the moment then i would take a hot/warm bath and pour some epsom salts in and relax, that alwas helps with soreness, fatigue, and swolleness.. But most def make sure you do stretching before you go out and practice or tryout, it will help your muscles warm up..
also maybe even make a daily routine to jog or even just walking everyday will prepare your body for volleyball..Health Question & Answer

It's okay.. You don't need to see a doctor.. I've been in cheerleading (I know) & I've been sore too.. My sister is 13 like you & she weighs 148 pounds.. So your weight is normal, but if you don't feel like it, consider excersicing more.. You don't need to everyday though.. & for running, just jog it all the way.. If you need to push yourself, just put your favorite song in your haed.. Ex: Destiny's Child- Survivor.. But for now, take a nice hot bath, & put some ice on the parts that hurts the most..Health Question & Answer

The best thing you can do is push through the pain.. If you run everyday (or 3 times a week at the least) you will start to feel less and less pain..

In the mean time use the flexall and try giving yourself a massage in the areas that hurt; you can also take a pain killer, use ice, or if that doesn't work a wet towel heated up in the microwave.. Just try different things until you find something that works..

Good luck and keep running!Health Question & Answer

A couple of things:
1.. Take a warm bath and use the flexall afterwards..
2.. If the pain persists (it may), take a Motrin/Advil/Ibuprofen (Don't take Tylenol--the ibuprofen is better for muscle aches/sores).. I try to avoid meds, but I know that when I start exercising again after a long break, it hurts, a LOT.. Of course, don't take it after every practice, but one pill after the first couple practices will definitely help..
3.. Stretch beforehand.. It will prevent you from feeling sore afterwards..

Hope you feel better!Health Question & Answer

The only reason why you're sore is because you aren't in shape, as you said.. I do volleyball too and it's going to take a few more practices to get used to it.. It's going to hurt for the next couple of days especially if you have practice everyday.. But to be honest with you, there is nothing you can do about it.. You just have to keep up the exercising..Health Question & Answer

run and dont be a couch patato be out as much as you can it can even be just walking around shopping or something.. and take advil *if your british then take a pain medicine* i take pain medicine after gymnastics.. and im 13 aswell so kinda watch what you eat.. i know that sounds weird but dont eat till your stuffed eat till your about to be full and eat healthy and watch for calories and with that running it should be off soon.. (:

good luck with volleyball try outs (:Health Question & Answer

After exercising, for muscle pain I use Traumeel.. It's a topical gel for exactly what you're experiencing.. You can buy it online or at Whole Foods.. It works super duper well.. If you can't find that, most grocery stores sell head-on for muscle pain (not just on your head).. And if I'm really sore I heat up a rice pack (beanbag) in the microwave and apply it to where it hurts..

feel better!Health Question & Answer

i did the same thing.. we run sooo much in volleyball.. make sure you are stretching before and after you are running.. if you get running cramps while running, just breathe in through your nose and out through you mouth.... it works..

soon, you wont be sore if you do that much running everyday.. we have to run a lot in volleyball, so im not sore anymore, but i was the first day..

good luck!
