Walk-in doctor services?!
Question: Walk-in doctor services.?
I have an ear infection and no local doctor, I keep getting told when trying to make an appointment with a doctor to try a walk-in center ...... but what I'm looking for is the proper etiquette for a walk-in center, do I really just walk in, do I now call first.?, will my insurance cover a walk-in, how long is a typical wait etc ......I just want to know if this is the right choice for me.?Health Question & Answer

You don't need an appointment, just walk in.. You're insurance will either charge you for it as a specialist visit, or an emergency visit.. Most insurances will cover most of the cost, but since I don't know the kind you have I can't say for sure.. You'll probably have to pay a co-pay when you go in, so make sure you have a check or something..
The wait depends on how many people are there, I usually had to end up waiting in between 30 minutes to an hour and a half..
If you have an ear infection, go.. Relief will come sooner if you go..Health Question & Answer
