What is your pillow like to sleep on .? Do you go to sleep with a hairband in your hair .? If so take it out because it puts strain on your neck muscles whilst you sleep..
also, other no-no's are 1) not having a window open; means you are rebreathing your own air.. It's best to have some air circulating, and not have a heater or airconditioner going full-bore for the same reason
..2) If your back is out of joint, you will headaches, usually first thing in the morning.. Check out a good chiropractor and lastly, try not to eat late at night before bed..
Drink a large glass of water before retiring for the night and don't sleep too hot..Coffee late in the afternoon, will dehydrate your body, so alternatively drink herbal or iced tea..
Hope this has helped .?Health Question & Answer

Sounds like sleep apnea to me..
I used to wake up with headaches that after a while would go away then during the day I'd become very sleepy and tired for no apparent reason..
The reason why sleep apnea causes headaches is because your air passages relax and collapse while your asleep which will cause snoring and the inability to breath properly depriving your body of vital oxygen..
It can even kill you or leave you with permanent brain damage or cause strokes..
I would have my blood oxygen level checked if I were you and get tested for sleep apnea and if you have sleep apnea then I also suggest having your thyroid checked because hypothyroidism can cause sleep apnea and both combined if left untreated can be fatal..Health Question & Answer

If the air in your bedroom is stuffy/stale it can cause you to wake with a headache (which rhymes, how strange......)
Another thing is that if you don't drink enough the day before you may wake, slightly dehydrated and that causes headaches..
Just two more random causes of morning headaches......bye!Health Question & Answer

I regularly have morning headaches, but the other answers didn't do much for me since I know I don't have sleep apnea.. I have had migraines, and I KNOW it is not a migraine.. Some morning headaches can be related to coffee consumption, especially if you drink coffee all day, then go your 7-8 hours without.. It is just caffeine withdrawal.. But there are numerous reasons why a person COULD have morning headaches..
Morning headaches are most often considered part of the "cluster/tension headache" type.. Here's some info I found online..

* extended car drives

* physical overexertion
* poor posture

* sinusitis
* smoking
* stress
* working in one position for long periods..Health Question & Answer

Yeah I would get a memory pillow (kinda feels like the Serta mattresses)..
Idk, just see a doctor if that doesn't help.. Or you could change your sleeping position--the best position is on your side, in a fetal position.. It's softer on the neck, head, and back..
Good luck..Health Question & Answer
