they just leave it because they found out if they strap it..
it hurts loads more so they normally say take careful breaths and don't laugh much basically take it easy..Health Question & Answer

doctors don't do anything they will tell you to be gentile with it and give you pain meds that is all they can do.. if they wrap it i may actually stop the bone from healing right because you have to move and when you do it with pull at the wrapping at least this is what they told me when my son broke his ribs:(Health Question & Answer

They don't strap you up anymore, as this supposedly hinders the healing process.. Most people end up sleeping in a chair as lying down can be too painful..
