Question: Can bones repair themselves after a fracture.?
please explain in very simple terms

thanks in advance =]Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Bones do indeed repair themselves.. After the fracture, cells called chondroblasts and blood clotting fibroblasts combine to form a callus in the fracture.. This is replaced by new bone formed when minerals harden form lamellar bone.. These cells reform all the bones in your body as you grow and come into play when bones are injured.. The term is "bone remodeling".. It is a complex process and it is amazing that when stablized, the fracture heals and the bone is relitively the size and shape it was before the fracture..Health Question & Answer

Yes they heal on their own however its savfer to go to the docter and get a cast becuz if you move if around and dont keep it still it can heal the wrong way..

If you have a broken bone you should go to the docter and have them tell you what to do..Health Question & Answer
