How long does it take for a pulled hamstring to heal?!

Question: How long does it take for a pulled hamstring to heal.?

My doctor said one week and pretty much don't do anything that causes pain and to stretch it a little each day and take some ibuprofen for the pain.. Is there anything else I should know or do.? I've done a lot of walking (didn't hurt and if it started I just slowed down and it felt better).. It is been a little over three days and it still hurts is that normal or have I injured it more.?Health Question & Answer
