HI there,

Sorry to hear about your wrist situation.. :(

To be honest with you........ Yes, you can play the flute with a sprained wrist........ but it is not advisable.. Anything that is causing you pain, such as a sprain, should not be worsened by holding up the instrument for lengths at a time..

You want your wrist to get well.? And in a minimal amount of time, so just take a break from it until you experience NO pain when playing..

Sprains don't last but a week or so...... Let your wrist heal.. Your band director should understand and give you other work to do during band class..

Good Luck with it
