My ear piercing still hurts! Help!?!

Question: My ear piercing still hurts! Help!.?
I've had my ears pierced for 3 weeks now, and they still hurt. I clean them twice a day, so what could I be doing wrong! Help!Health Question & Answer

Answers:
It could be the type of earring you are wearing. E.g. you may be allergic to that type of metal.
You could try swapping them for another type.. however i wouldn't recommend that just yet as you've only recently had them pierced.

It could also be infected..

This sounds daft.. but my friend's boyfriend's peircing got infected because he cleaned it too often!

When i got mine peirced.. i cleaned them about 2/3 times a week.

You need to use a antibiotic cream such as Neosporin with pain reliever, on your ear ring posts before you put them in your ear. Take the cap off the tube and dip your post in the cream, then put earrings on. This should help your problem. also, you could be allergic to cheap ear rings and need to only wear 14 kt gold or sterling silver. Very common problem with new piercings.Health Question & Answer
