Aching in chest... what could it be?!
Question: Aching in chest... what could it be.?
I had a c-section 8 weeks ago. Once the pain of the surgery went away I realized I have this aching in my chest. Now I am not sure if it is muscle pain or bad heartburn. It feels almost like there is air trapped inside that won't come out. I know that nothing is wrong with my lungs or my heart. I had oxygen during the surgery, not sure if that has something to do with it either. I also have a toothache and not sure if this could be causing it. Any ideas what it could be.?Health Question & Answer

GAS!
I know when I had my csections they warned me about gas. That it can get trapped in your chest. They said more likely the shoulder area would hurt but I supposed its possible to hurt in other areas as well. They gave us gas pills while we were there that supposedly helped. I had a hard time taking the gas pill because it was chewable but once I felt that shoulder pain, I learned how to take it, lol.
So maybe try some gas-x or something like that. I hope you feel all better soon.Health Question & Answer

Some months ago, I watched Channel 7. It was so ridiculous that a patient complained about sharp pain after 1 week of surgery. So he went back to see his doctor. But everything looked normal, there was nothing wrong. Later on, the doctor had to give the patient a CT scanned. You know what they found, There was a pair of small scissors still in his stomach.
The doctors gave him another surgery. They removed the scissors, he was O.K.

I know a lot of people who had the same feeling that you're having. It is air trapped inside of you. It's nothing serious, it's like gas pain. It will subside anywhere from a month to a few months after your operation. Good luck and I hope all is fine!Health Question & Answer
