When I told the surgeon that I have aspirations to play AFL in the future, he told me that if I want to play the best quality football I would have to amputate my troublesome left ring finger. He said I could continue with the finger either fused or taped, but that would only be a short term solution. The surgeon told me that if I want a long career in football, which I do, then amputation is the best choice. So weighing up his advice, along with others, I've taken the bold and drastic step to get the finger amputated at the first joint. I'm having the operation in three weeks. Health Question & Answer

Hi I don't know what is wrong but yes if it is the only way i'll say go for it but if it was your thumb or index finger i wouldn't - If the finger is not very sore or crooked keep it Health Question & Answer
