Should spacers still hurt?!

Question: Should spacers still hurt.?
I got eight spacers (four on top, four on bottom) eight days ago, and I still can't chew anything without it hurting. Is this normal.? Thank you in advance. Health Question & Answer

Answers:
yes, that is normal, it feels that way because your teeth have moved and are still moving. this will take a little while to become not so painful, but it really is normal. try taking aspirin or ibuprofen, that will help a lot. also, eat foods like soft bread, pudding, soup, ice cream etc. i hope you feel better soon!Health Question & Answer

heres some tips for them not to hurt.....

eat soft, cold things

chew on a cold, damp cloth

rest your mouth

P.B&J sandwiches on soft white bread are good for meals. ice cream is as well

and chewing sugar free gum. it wont stick to spacers or braces, and sometimes going thru the pain helps.

Health Question & Answer

Yeah this is normal. I had spacers for almost 2 weeks before they stopped hurting. Your teeth just need to get used to them and settle. Don't worry about it.Health Question & Answer
