Hurt My Leg at school? Help?!

Question: Hurt My Leg at school.? Help.?
I hurt my leg earlier today in gym class. I was playing soccer when some kid ran into me his shin crashed into mine. I didn't fall but it hurt for a while. When i got home i noticed that there was a big bump there.
When i lightly push down on it, it hurts. Is it broken, fractured.? What do i do to ease the pain.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Ice it up...and take some Advil or Ibuprofhen. a pain killer...sounds like you just bruised it. The skin and tissue in front of the shin is very thin and when hit in the shin hard it is natural to swell up quick and sometimes big depends on how hard the hit was. I don't think it is severly broken. However it could have a slight fracture, a slight crack, in the bone. If you are really worried about that go to a physician and get it x-rayedHealth Question & Answer

Depending on how soft the bone and tissue is you may have a slight bone excise where a piece of the shin bone may potrude a bit but won't break the skin. More than likely, you'll soon see bruising and the area turning a bright or deep purple. You should go and have a doctor check it out anyway, just to see if there was anything else you may have missed.Health Question & Answer

No it's not broken, if you broke your Tibia, you'd know it. It's just badly bruised. Put some ice on it and that will reduce the swelling and help with the pain.Health Question & Answer

If you can walk on it, its probably not broken. As far as to ease the pain Ice it for a couple of hours.Health Question & Answer
