I want to be done with workers comp! I need a surgery and I know no one, who has had a back surgery. I want to settle and I have been asked to come up with a number. That includes Surgery. Hospital stay. Rehabilitation. Post and pre doctor visits for up one year. Pain meds. Wheel chair, walker and a cain. Pre-surgery X-rays. MRI, along with at least 4 post x-rays and One MRI, and the cost for some one to care for me for at least 8hrs a day for at least 2 weeks! Any help would be GREAT!! ThanksHealth Question & Answer

I just had my third back surgery in 10 years. Just added up the bill from this recent surgery and it was $55,000 for hospital, surgeon, anesthesia and tests. My walker costs $30. I would ask for $500,000 minimum. After every back surgery I have had, I was told this is the one that would relieve my pain. Hasn't happened. Now they are telling me that I will always be in pain. Oxycontin alone is around $400 a month (40 mg three times a day). Would really overestimate and go from there. Maybe having a professional help you would be a good idea.
