Food cramping and numbness!?!

Question: Food cramping and numbness!.?
so, I was sitting in my "butterfly" chair with my laptop on my lap and my feet up on the couch, all of a sudden I got a sever cramp in my second to the last toe. It was my left leg. The toe was deformed in a way, kind of pushed down and I could not move it up. It also became numb with a searing sharp pain. After about 5 minutes it just stopped hurting. It also hurt to put pressure on it.

This happens about 1-2 a month in my arch, when I stretch my foot, but it has never before happened in my toe.

I'm in college and have no way of getting to the drs. this wkend, so just give me ideas of what you think it could be...thanks!Health Question & Answer

Answers:
You could be having a problem with something like flat feet (where there is little to no arch but an example only) or a problem with the nerves in that area such as irritated or entrapped or due to something like plantar fasciitis (an inflammation of the plantar fascia which is in the front part of the foot) but these are just examples only.

I would recommend a consultation with a Podiatrist (a doctor that diagnoses and treats diseases and disorders that relate to the foot and ankle) as well to see what they think could be going on.Health Question & Answer
