Back pain and tingling leg?!

Question: Back pain and tingling leg.?
I hurt my back yesterday after hoovering the living room, and today my left leg is all tingly and heavy. I took diclofenac and put a heat pad onto it yesterday, I also have been doing back exercises that i was given by my physiotherapist when I hurt my back a couple of years ago.

Can anyone suggest anything else I can do to relieve the pain until I see my doctor next week.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
sounds like sciatica. Lay on the bed on your back, draw knees up to chest, wrap arms around legs and gently rock from side to side whilst pulling legs into body, it might ease it. Good luckHealth Question & Answer

First of all unless you know what it is I would avoid the exercises - rest is better. It may be sciatica - keep on with the diclofenac, also try some deep heat rub, and you can also take paracetamol on top, as it works in a different way to the diclofenac. Hope it improves soonHealth Question & Answer

its sciatica caused by compressing the disks in your lower back try to lean backwards when sitting or lay on floor face down then push upwards as much as you can bear a few times and it will improve then take ibuprofen or asprin and rest.

its caused by posture and or weight trapping the nerves in the lower back

try the Alexander technique to avoid this altogether.Health Question & Answer

Sounds pain full, i have back trouble and find a warm bath then when i get out do gentle stretching using (may sound daft but it really does help me) a door. I stretch up hold the top of the door slowly bending my knees. After which i take painkillers an try to relax. Hope you get sorted real soonHealth Question & Answer
