Every time I take a step, my foot cracks in both the heel and the toes...?!

Question: Every time I take a step, my foot cracks in both the heel and the toes....?
It doesn't hurt, but it's rather annoying to be walking around hearing these cracking noises with every step. I'm wondering if this might have an effect in the long term though. Should I go to the doctor.?

I have flat feet, but I was told that it was fine as long as there was no pain. There still isnt, but this might be part of the reason.Health Question & Answer

Answers:
I'm almost 18 and I have a lot of crackly joint problems, and most of them are hereditary.

I'm told the same thing: as long as it doesn't hurt, you're fine.

I was also told that if any of my joints (shoulders, elbows, wrists, knees and ankles aaaaah!) do start hurting, I can get surgery to ease it off.

And I'm guessing that the surgery would stop the cracking too.

But who wants surgery.? I think we're both fine, right.?

I have really crackly joints too, just something that runs in the family. It's annoying, but unless you want to go to a lot of trouble to fix it, I'm afraid you will just have to deal with it.Health Question & Answer
