My arm hurts incredibly badly?!
Question: My arm hurts incredibly badly.?
and i've talked to my parents about it.
my father thinks it's carpal tunnel.
it hurts all the way up my left forearm and my wrist.
i can't put my arm straight and lock it and i can't bend my wrist backwards because it hurts so damn bad. :(
i don't think it's carpal tunnel because my hands aren't numb and my hand doesn't hurt.
but i have no idea what it is.
i'm going to the doctor sometime this week but i was just wondering if anyone has any idea of what it might be.
please answer if you have any idea at all.

You may have nerve impingement, possibly some ligament/tendon involvement. The doc is probably going to advise you rest it, to take ibuprofen to decrease pain and any swelling, order s test to two and send you to PT to see if that works. If not, then you may be talking to a surgeon(it does depend on what it wrong). The surgeon may do more tests and suggest conservative treatments before thinking about surgery.
so don't try to straighten out your arm or bend your wrist right now, take some ibuprofen to help make it feel better, try icing it 20 minutes on/40 minutes off, and resting your arm as much as possible.Health Question & Answer
