Damaged foot! please take the time to read. i need help!?!

Question: Damaged foot! please take the time to read. i need help!.?
Yesterday, for the first time in 2 years, i played soccer with a friend. i was doing pretty well but i had lost my touch a little when it came to shooting. as time went by, my foot began to get weaker and weaker. when i would kick the ball, i would feel slight pain from hitting it awkwardly. after a while i told my friend that i needed a break but he urged me to keep going and i thought, well it's good exercise. finally after we were done playing, my foot felt completely loose. it was hanging every time i lifted it to take another step. I'm unable to really control it. i could effortlessly move my other foot around and move the toes around but my right foot takes a lot of effort to move it around and move it up. moving it down is easy because it's already hanging but up takes effort and I'm unable to hold it. i feel no pain. it just hangs. I'm on the borderline of panicking and staying calm. i don't know whats wrong and if it is capable of fully healing. my greatest fear is that i tore nerve tissue... could someone please tell me what it could be and if it could heal or not.? (i know it's hard to know without seeing it but please try)Health Question & Answer

It sounds to me that you have some damage to nerve tissue. I think it would be important for you to see a doctor ASAP b/c when dealing with nerves the sooner you get an answer to the problem, the better off you will be. You may be suffering from anterior compartment syndromeHealth Question & Answer

It can be healed but a doctor or passive rest is not going to do the job. It will require active intervention by you also piles of time and effort because it's an old injury.

I love it when idiots ask questions. I am not calling you stupid though, After all you have to be a Harvard graduate to go online and ask a major health question of random strangers who may or may not have any medical training and who's reasons for answering you'r question range from actually wanting to help you to just messing with you. Call a real doctor, Go to an emergency room, Or next time you play remember to stretch first and then you won't partially over-extend a tendon in your ankle.Health Question & Answer

Just sounds like you over done it abit. This is why people warm up before playing sports, to get the muscles working first so you don't pull one. Yeah i think you have pulled a muscle, put some ice on it and it should let the bruising out. After that put some deep heat cream on it, my brother always uses this for football related injuries and always helps. If you are still woried in about a week go and have it checked out.

Take it easier next time! :-)Health Question & Answer
