Question: Is it broken or sprained or what.?
ok first of all i kinda twisted my ankle on the way home, but it didnt hurt that much, so i went on my trampoline at home but at the night it started hurting a bit more and then the next day it really hurts at the top of my foot, but when i stand up it doesnt hurt that much, it only hurts when i stand on my heel or if i move my foot, i also cant move my toes that much because it hurts a bit, i just wanted to know whats wrong with it, because about 5 years ago i got that foot broken and i went a whole day without knowing tht it was broken but it still hurt a bit, but i dont want to go to the hospital if its nothing... so what do you think it is.?
and also how do you check to see if something is sprained or broken.?

If you have a broken ankle, you won't be able to put any pressure on it at all and it will more than like go blue and you will have severe swelling around your whole foot.

This sounds more like a sprain, but having x-rays is a good idea to make sure it is nothing more serious, which might need more prompt treatment. If you do in fact have a sprain, I can only recommend the same treatment I have mentioned in other injuries, i.e. using the RICE method, I heard about it from my physiotherapist and it is guaranteed to work! Rest, ice, compression (if the swelling is bad) and elevation. If you don't notice any significant improvement after a week or so, you need to go to your doctor, as you might need x-rays and/or anti-inflammatory pills.
