Answers:
I quit October, 2001.

It goes in threes.

First three hours.
First three days
First three months
First three years.

My lungs started to really clear out after nine months (the younger the sooner).

Sometimes I still want a cigarette but I prefer breathing (and sleeping through the night without waking up coughing) over smoking.

The chance of you getting emphysema are more likely than cancer from smoking. The feeling is that of drowning in your own lung fluids. Doesn't hold a candle to "water boarding".

THealth Question & Answer

Immediately after making the decision to quit, you automatically feel better! because you have taken control of your own life. It is good to be in control, and not be controlled by anything.
We humans were put here with the freedom of choice. and when that's a problem we seem to behave inhumanly!
Maybe choosing to smoke is one of the reasons we neglect the underlying issues of our basic human rights. Respect, Dignity and Freedom......Equal Rights and Justice brings Peace and Harmony.
Do you think that you would still want a cigarette if these ideals were true.?Health Question & Answer
