Question: Could this be a pulled muscle.?
My husband's neck feels a little swollen in one area and it has a kind of knot that I can feel. He said that it feels like someone is holding an ice cube to it in the affected area, however all he did was move his head around. Have any clue what could be going on.?

Hmmm. The stomach issue sounds a lot like reflux/GERD.. it is very common ailment involving the over production of stomach acid. This knot is a little more challenging b/c you didn't say where in his neck (front, back, lowe or upper), how long he has had it and what it feels like (hard, soft, rigid, movable, painful to the touch, etc).
A pulled muscle won't usually result in a knot as you describe. But certainly could be a possibility if it occurred after a trauma to the neck or a significant strain.
Throughout the neck are lymph glands that can get swollen rather easy with sickness. If it had a rather sudden onset, it is likely this. If he has had it for awhile... or it is hard and immovable, he should see his doctor for evaluation. There are several more serious ailments involving the thyroid and esophagus that can cause such nodules.
