I just got 2 shots yesterday...?!
Question: I just got 2 shots yesterday....?
Yesterday I got 2 shots in my right arm and the pain is horrible! I barely touch my arm and i can feel exceeding pain. The pain has spread from the injection sites to below my arm pit and mostly around the whole arm (muscle, etc) I feel this might be some kind of allergic reaction because I got a tetanus shot on my left arm, and it just hurts when i apply pressure to the injection spot.
Is this normal and go away.?
Or should I get another appointment for this.?Health Question & Answer

Expect the pain to last about 2-3 days or even for up to a week. (the 2nd day is always the worst.) That is totally normal. You probably have a hard time even lifting a glass of water I'm sure. Taking Tylenol will help the pain. Serious allergic reactions with this shot are very rare. They include; rash, itching, swelling, dizziness and trouble breathing. Call your doctor though if you do experience any of those problems. also a good tip is not to "baby" the arm try to keep it moving even a little if you can. This will speed up the healing process for the muscle that was injected.

Sometimes it's the medicine that is injected that hurts, it takes time for the muscle to absorb it. The person injects it too fast sometimes. Give it a couple of days , try ice and massage it gently. See if it helpsHealth Question & Answer
