How can I speed up my immune system?!

Question: How can I speed up my immune system.?
I have just recovered from a cold. How can I speed up my immune system before the colds and flu start going around again.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Good question.

1. WATER - You need to drink water. You should be drinking half your body weight (ounds) in water. A lot of people get headaches and they don't understand this, headaches are usually a sign of dehydration.

2. SLEEP - Your body needs to sleep atleast 7 hours. When you're sleeping, your body doesn't have to focus on your physical activity, and so when you sleep, your immune system does its job. If you don't rest, your body won't be strong enough to fight colds and other diseases.

3. FRUITS & VEGGIES - Your body needs vitamins, proteins, and many many other minerals to function properly. All of these are best found in fruits and veggies! Not fruit juices, plain fruits and vegetables. Your body needs anti-oxidents such as Vitamin C to protect your cells and immune system from damage. Onions, and Oranges are very good sources of Vitamin C and other anti-oxidents. But don't just stack up on oranges, eat a variety of fruits! Try to eat a nice salad once in a while. =)

4. EXERCISE - Ever heard of use it or lose it.? That implies really well here. Your body needs exercise. If you don't exercise now, you'll get problems when you're older. Spending time indoors, you're breathing filtered air, go for a walk once in a while, get some fresh air! Exercise really helps your body.

5. NO JUNK - Stop that junk food! Studies have shown that cola, one of the most popular drink in the market, can lead to osteoporosis, a bone disease. Junk rots your teeth and bone, and not to mention the artificial toxins. Try cutting down the junk food.

Good luck!Health Question & Answer
