Tattoos & MRI or CAT scan?!

Question: Tattoos & MRI or CAT scan.?
is it true that if you have a tattoo & go into an MRI or CAT scan it might explode or smthg like that.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
Completely False. I am a MRI Tech and this is a common misconception of MRIs. My job has the top of the line 3T MRI, the most powerful magnet and out of all the patients I have scanned only one has complained that the Tattoo warmed up a little bit. If you have prison tattoos or old tattoos there might be a little iron in the ink and since the MRI is basically one gigantic magnet, the worst case scenario the Tattoo will heat up a little bit. But no, it will NOT rip the ink out, or magically explode.

CAT Scan, it doesn't matter. It uses Radiation so Tattoos dont bother CT scans at all.Health Question & Answer

Tattoos will make your skin explode.
So the best thing to do is not get tattoos.
Besides that tattooed people rarely have decent jobs and can't afford MRI's that is why its seldom heard about them exploding.
