Question: My knee is messed up..whats wrong with it.?
ok EXACTLY 2 weeks ago, i was running on the treadmill and i ran for about 3 - 4 mins and i felt a twinge in my knee...so i kept running, me being the idiot that i am, and i got off about a minute later because it hurt more...so (for some stupid reason) i decided to lift weights w/ my legs and i repped 8 - 10 times and it started hurting a lot...thats when i decided to go home and when i was walking home, i could NOT put weight on my left leg (the leg that i messed up) for a couple of mins because it hurt too much, so i kind of limped home and i stayed off that leg for a few days (and the pain subsided until i almost had no more pain), until monday in which we had to run in gym class...it hurt a quite a bit so i started jogging and tried my best to keep the weight off my left leg and it eventually got comfortable and progressively got better throughout the week...and it was all fine until about 4 days ago and i tweaked it again (i dont remember how) and yesterday i had soccer conditioning (which is basically running so that we can get more fit for soccer) and it started hurting a lot when i ran the warm up laps...now it hurts when i walk to the point where i had to take a Tylenol to make the pain subside...could you please tell me what is wrong with my leg.?.? let me describe where it hurts: 1) Straighten your leg out 2) Reach down to the top of your kneecap on your left leg 3) Now feel to the right about 1 - 2 inches 4) do you feel the fleshy part.?
thats where my knee hurts, and i dont know whats wrong with it please help me out i need to know how to re-hab it before monday because i have another conditioning...Health Question & Answer

this is somethin you are going to need to see an orthopedic doc/surgeon for. it could be a number of things. you could have over extended a muscle or ligament in your knee, or torn your meniscus or ligaments. they are going to want to do an mri probably and prod you and test your legs extension. until you see a doctor i would NOT continue running on it or doing any thing that could aggravate it. it seems to be getting worse the more you try to let it ride, and i dont think this is something that is going to heal on its own if you keep stressing it. if you make it worse, it may not be reparable which means boom- end of your soccer career.

tore my acl playing soccer my frosh year in highschool. no one believed me, it got worse, and then they had to re construct my knee when the doc finally broke down and decided to do a scope, which he then found that my acl was not only torn, but gone. i had scholarships lined up...after that everything was gone. my knee has never been the same, even after months of rehabilitation.Health Question & Answer
