Question: My forearm was fractured last july. Now it is healed but - muscles on my elbow tigthened, any self therapy.?
Any self therapy you can suggest that i can do at home.?Health Question & Answer

Answers:
absolutely.
ignore the previous answer that said to ice the area. that's wrong. ice slows down the blood flow and you need blood in order the lengthen and heal an area- it brings in nutrients and oxygen and moves out toxins. you're better off using heat!
check out the website www.mrtherapy.com and read some articles written by michael young. that would be much easier than me trying to explain it all to you on here. especially check out his article on carpal tunnel syndrome because those are the same stretches you will need.
a good book on stretching to reference is 'active isolated stretching: the mattes method' by aaron mattes but it is a pretty expensive book. maybe check and see if your library has it. honestly though i think michael young's website would be the most beneficial for you. Health Question & Answer

just practise stretching and massaging the area and icing it down. because of the immobile position it was in in the cast the tendons have shortened or tightened and need to be loosened again. but this will help relieve the pressure and make it get back to normal quicker
