What else could it be besides carpal tunnel? I'm 25 and my arms hurt...?!

Question: What else could it be besides carpal tunnel.? I'm 25 and my arms hurt....?
I work at a desk job and for the past two weeks, my arms have been hurting. Mostly it's my foreman on my right hand, but sometimes I can feel pain in my left hand as well and it hurts when I type. However, if I haven't been typing much over the weekend, the pain subsides. Sometimes it hurts when I lay in bed, but eventually goes away until the next day when I begin typing again. I'm pretty sure it's not carpal tunnel as my wrists don't really hurt and I'm only 25! I have made sure to align myself correctly in front of the computer...anyway, does anyone have any ideas on what the problem can be.? Occasionally my neck locks up and hurts too, but that has almost gone away.Health Question & Answer

i know it sounds nuts but you may just need more vitamins. your body could be a little slack on potassium (you can get it from foods like bananas or in a multivitamin). The same things were going on with me and i started taking a multivitamin and they haven't continued.
Health Question & Answer

sounds to me it could be TOS ( thoracic outlet syndrome) try stretching out your pec muscles by putting your arm against a wall near a door way and then with your leg closest to the wall step thru the door way. you should feel a stretch in your chest. if this does'nt make sense try googling TOS i'm sure the websites will include stretches. if not try getting a massage from a good therapist if your open to it. a big sign of carpal tunnel is it wakes you when you sleep. try stretching your palms or wearing a hand/wrist brace while you sleep at night for a while and see if that helps. good luck to you! :)Health Question & Answer
