one makes U sleep and unaware of the surrounding,
the other drug is analgesia (pain killer) so U will not feel any thing almost.
the last type is make Ur muscle relax and all muscles are paralysed that is why they put tube to help for mechanical breathing and the surgeon can manipulate without hurting the patient.
