Question: Why does the hpv shot hurt so much.? Im scared about my second shot!.?
I had it 2 months ago and I have to get the second dose on monday. It hurt so bad, I cried. I got three shots that day and it was the only one that hurt. I have to get 5 when I go on monday but I'm mostly scared about the hpv one. Is it worse that the first.? It burned so badly, how can i make it not hurt.? Where is the best place to get the shot right arm, left arm, leg, butt, what.? I am desperate please answer!Health Question & Answer

My daughter had all three and they do hurt alot. I think the reason it hurts so much is because of the viscosity. You do not have to get all 5 shots at 1 time. That is not fair to you at all. Have you parent ask the Dr to space them out get the HPV shot and then another shot. Go back in a few weeks and get the other 3. That is what I did for my daughter and she was very thankful.Health Question & Answer
I don't know why it hurts so much. I had my 2nd shot a few weeks ago. It wasn't too bad... but shots hurt different people differently. I suggest you ask them to stick you somewhere that won't be too painful to move. Like, if you're right handed, have it in your left shoulder and plan to not use that arm for a while. Mine 2nd one didn't hurt for very long. I hope yours doesn't.

I got my second one a few weeks ago...it doesnt hurt when you get it done but afterward it should be a little sore because of the medicine and thats just kinda the way it is haha dont be scared its alright although i get scared any time for any shot haha o wellHealth Question & Answer
hey, i find it helps when you take an advil or tylenol right before (the person doing the needle might tell you what and what not you can take) and you can also but EMLA patches which numbs the skin. you can usually get 2 for 10 dollars. pain is normal, hope this helps!Health Question & Answer

not to mention that for HPV, the loop procedure is the next option, and that takes away a huge precentage of you being able to have a baby.
