Dried blood along a bicep vein and weird bruising?!
Question: Dried blood along a bicep vein and weird bruising.?
Ok , so last Saturday I was working out my biceps and at the end of the workout felt like maybe I had strained my bicep . The next day , the vein that most people have that runs right on the top , right through the center had what looked like dried blood running along it just under the skin . It's never happened to me , I dont do drugs , steroids , anything like that but now I'm getting like small brown bruises on both side of the dried blood thing . It doesnt hurt . I worked my biceps out today and noticed no loss in strength . They're really small , the bruise looking things , dont hurt and look patchy . The 'dried blood thing' goes right along the vein and I cant even see the vein anymore because the 'dried blood' ( I'm guessing ) looks dark purple . Like most people , I have zero health insurance so the doctor is the last resort . Now , some background , I took a hiatus from working out for about a year , before that it was an everyday thing . Now , I've been back for a month and half and this bicep thing is freaking me out . I wish I could add a pic . Again , doesnt hurt . Its just strange because its running on top of the biggest vein on my bicep . Anyone have any experience or know what this is .? Health Question & Answer
Answers:
the vein probably leaked a little bit. I'm a track runner and I work out my legs a lot and it's happened to me before. Your vien sprung a small leak and the bruises are forming to make the spot tender so that your vein can heal faster. Take a break off of them for about a week and you will be better in no time.(:Health Question & Answer
