Question: A little confused about this. Help Please.?
I have to choose a primary care Dr through my insurance. On the main page it states that instead of seeing a Family Doctor I can substitute that with seeing someone who specializes in internal medicine. What is the difference between these two Doctors. I will be going there for migraine treatment and Blood Pressure issuesHealth Question & Answer

Nothing. It seems today what we used to call General Practitioners or Family Doctors, now call themselves "Internists." It's possible they did learn a little extra about internal medicine, but every primary I've had was an internist. Choose an internist. :)Health Question & Answer
If you have both migraine & high blood pressure, see the internal medicine physician.
