Should I go back to the doctor for back pain?!

Question: Should I go back to the doctor for back pain.?
In June of last year I had a spinal compression injury in the T 7-8 vertebrae after landing very hard in the saddle when my horse panicked and jumped down a steep hill. I never had a confirmed diagnosis although a compression fracture and/or a compressed disc was not ruled out.
Fourteen months later I still feel pain when I twist or lift and every couple of weeks I get tingling and numbness in my feet. I feel like I should go back to the doctor but I have had X-rays and an MRI and they showed nothing. I'm not sure what to do and would like some advice.Health Question & Answer

Well, the thing about a chiropractor is that if it is a disc compression, they can actually do more damage. I have nothing against them but the adjustments they do can be quite harsh to disc injuries. It would be best to see your MD and make sure. They may refer you to physical therapy. I'm always very cautious to recommend patients with neurological symptoms to a chiropractor just because if they do adjust you the wrong way, it can cause more damage. It really does sound like a disc that is slipped or compressed which causes the openings where the nerves go to be compressed. You can try lying on your back and pulling your knee to your chest to stretch and see if that helps symptoms. Check with your MD before doing anything more than that!Health Question & Answer

I would go to the Chriopractor they work wonders on me. I got into a car accident and screwed up my next really bad, and whenever is start to get headaches that are caused from my neck injury i go back and they crack it back into place, it dosent hurt and is much cheaper than going to see an MD.
