Strange Bug Sting on Hand?!

So, my dad recently got a stinging sensation from a black bug, somewhat looking like a fly - it was completely black though... When it stung him, it left him with a black dot on his hand - as if it were a dot from a black marker or something. After he got stung, his hand started swelling up, & he got a tingle sensation in his hand for about two hours. The swelling went down, & he says that now it just is sore, as if he were to hit his hand on something. It's also itchy...

Is there anything to heal his sting quicker.? Any tips, and do you perhaps know what stung my dad.? If you know, it would mean a lot :) thank you so much!Health Question & Answer
