Question: My Cartilage Percing is Swollen and in Pain!!!.?
Well I go my cartilage pierced by a proffesional with a needle in july 2008. I changed my earing ages ago about a week and it didnt hurt. Suddenly now its swollen and it hurts to touch it a bit. What is going.?Health Question & Answer

I had mine done and it go infected repeatedly and hurt a lot so I gave up and let it close. I think there is less blood circulation in that area and maybe you spray hair products accidentally on it.Health Question & Answer
Mine used to do that and I was told that the cartilage is easily infected. I had to take mine out on 2 seperate occasions. They became swollen and very painful, along with pus. I tried cleaning with warm salt water but that didn't really help. My only advice is take them out and leave them out. Up to you by all means.Health Question & Answer
it might be infected or maybe you caught it. i have the top of my ear pierced and if im combing my hair and the comb gets stuck on it, it really hurts for ages, feels like its burning, but then after that its fineHealth Question & Answer
omg! i had mine pierce then and it still hurts if it swollen it might be infected just put some salty water on with cotton wool and see if that works!!! i hope that helps! xxxHealth Question & Answer
