Question: How serious is this bite.? [Pics].?
Hi, I have a really painful red 'spot' on my leg, with a slightly lighter red 'lump' surrounding it. I asked about this earlier, and I had to answers saying it looks like a spider bite and one said if it gets worse see a doctor, and the other said see a doctor ASAP. Just wondering what anyone else thinks.? I will certainly see a doctor because I get a LOT of these bites (although this one looks quite different), but if it may be serious I may go to A&E tomorrow just to check it out, if need be.
also, it is rather warm to touch (someone asked me in my previous question).

Answers:
It's better to let a doctor see it especially if it is warm to the touch. Brown Recluse bites are like that as well as other spider bites. The doctor will prescribe something or even give you a cortizone shot to make the swelling go down. Avoid scratching it I also suggest keeping ice on it, it will keep the swelling down and soothe the itching.
You may also have a partial allergy to something, it also looks like it could be an ant bite, those can be pretty obnoxious as well. Health Question & Answer

a few years ago i started to get bitten by mosquitoes and had the same reaction as you, around the bites would get quite swollen .
just the same as yours ..i was told that the mossies had come over from france an were different. i had never been bit before an every summer i get the odd bite .i never sleep with the window open .and listen out for them in summer months .i can not sleep if one is in my room ,i have to squish it first ...i use calomine lotion to stop the itching .Health Question & Answer

you should probably go see a doctor. draw a ring around the outer edge of the red in pen or sharpie. That way, if it grows more overnight or whenever, you can tell. Which is exactly what they'll do at the doctors.Health Question & Answer
It looks like a mosquitoe bite, it's not bad at all, as long as the s[ider wasn't radioactive...

go to the health food store and ask for some medical charcoal, its good for everything. make a pack and it will absorb whatever is in there...Health Question & Answer
That looks like a flea bite. Wash your bedding & clothes, then vacuum your entire house. You will also need to de-flea any pets you have.
