There are a lot of medications that can cause a symptom like you describe. If you are taking any prescription medications (or illegal drugs) you need to talk to your doctor right away. They could be causing nerve damage and that damage could become permanent if not addressed. Usually the solution to this problem is to stop taking the medication that's causing the problem and, if necessary, replace it with a similar drug which may not have these side effects.
It could also be a naturally occuring problem with your nervous system, or a damaged or irritated nerve. That can be serious too.
Chances are it may be nothing at all, but you should see a doctor as soon as you can. If it is caused by progressive nerve damage, you need to address that ASAP in order to prevent further and permanent nerve damage.
