Question: I pierced my own lip about 10 hours ago .?
and i'm pretty sure it isnt infected but i'm using a push pin with a small peice of an eraser to keep it in . i'm 15 and did it a lil bit ago . i didn't take too much care i just dipped it in rubbing alchohal and pierced it . and now im using mouthwash and rubbing it with the alchohal every 2 or 3 hours

I have pierced my lip by myself several times. I am *not* encouraging this, but I will admit that I have never gotten a serious infection from doing this.
Try not to use the rubbing alcohol -- it will just dry the outside out. Instead, gargle salt water. This will be great for keeping it from getting infected. If you notice it is still red and "tight feeling" (the push pin can't move around much) by the third day, you should definitely consider taking it out.
I have pierced my lower lip 4 times with a push pin and my top lip (medusa) as well. The only one that got infected was the medusa because I didn't care for it properly.
Chances are you will be fine. But know that if you leave it in for awhile and decide to take it out if you get tired with it, it will leave some scar tissue because professional piercers use a hollow needle. Leaving it in for a long time however will give it the same feel and it won't close up.

I really do not no anything about piercings but i no a awfull lot about comon sence! at 15.? i take your parents wont let you go out and have it properly done and pay sumthing like a 10er to get it done, so insted you stabbed a needle ur self str8 thru it looool i just find it funny, my advise is try find a time machine go back and get it done properly!!!Health Question & Answer
i have my lip pierced to but i got it done professionallyy just wash it every 2 hrs with alcohol freeListerineg (biotene) with warm salt water and they told me not to drink through a straw i hope it helps..Health Question & Answer
You should of got it done properly!
Just clean it with antiseptic spray regularly and if it hurts put ice on it or something.
