How close am I to injuring my ankle?!

Question: How close am I to injuring my ankle.?
I went to my friend's soccer game earlier today at like 10:30. After their game, I was kicking the ball around and then I accidentally stepped on the ball and rolled my ankle on it. I tried to ignore it, and continued to play soccer. And the whole rest of the day I was riding bikes and doing stuff at the park and there was times when it would really hurt (like when I jump off a swing, ride my bike, twist it slightly to the right or left). Every time I hurt it, it seemed like the pain got worse. Then I was riding my bike and then I fell into a hole on the end of a sidewalk and got thrown forward and I landed on my ankle and it caused a lot of pain. I kept playing and I jumped over a fence and the pain got worse. Since it's under a lot of stress, does that mean that I have a greater chance of injuring it like severely spraining it or breaking it.? How close do you think I am to injuring it.?

Thanks to everyone who answers!Health Question & Answer

I know that a friend of mine had a similar injury and ignored it for a week...because she could still walk on it...even seemed to get better at first, but then it started to feel bad, so she was forced to see a doctor. She found out that she had broken it. Since we are not able to just hook ourselves up to an x-ray machine at home, it's better to trust your instincts and get it checked out. It's not worth the risk. It just proves that you can't judge whether you should go to a doctor by how much pain you're experiencing...as my friend found out.Health Question & Answer

If you were doing all of that with it, I doubt it can be too bad.Health Question & Answer

If you keep on doing what you are doing, and I mean being crazy and running all over the place and hurting your ankle, you may end up straining it, not sprain, but straining it. This happened ot me. I did something similar that you did, only running and I kept running on it for a week, and then finally I couldnt run on it anymore. I had to go to the hospital and everything. I couldn't run for a month, I had to wear a ankle brace and could barley walk. Be careful sweetheart, you need your ankles.

Take it easy, put some ice on it and elevate it. Make sure to not put the ice directly on your ankle though, wrap it in a Towel and do that twice a day for fifteen minutes elevated. If you catch it now it wont get any serious.Health Question & Answer
