Answers:
Stick with a large and well known company like Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, United Healthcare, Humana, Celtic, Assurant, etc.

If you want maternity health insurance then you will need to buy maternity coverage at least 12 months before you plan on becoming pregnant with most plans (maternity coverage will cost extra to add on to an individual health insurance plan).

Be sure and shop around and work with an independent health insurance agent before you buy.Health Question & Answer

try blue cross or blue shield. each company has different plans. as for your child (when you have one) you dont have to have insurance. you can get emergency medical for pregnancy only. and once the babie is born healthy families is cheap for children.
do NOT go for scams that offer DISCOUNT drs visits, that are not regular insurances like blue cross etc... some out there offer say 30.00 a month and you get a discount on the office visit etc.. they are not good. Health Question & Answer
