My boyfriends ribs have opend up again and has got stress fractures through 4 of his ribs aswell as 2 cracked ones ... and they are getting infected doctors say if it doesnt heal he will have an opperation.... can he die..?Health Question & Answer

If the ribs are not healing well, it's just a matter of time before he has to have an operation to give them a helping hand. This is just "one of those unfortunate things".
An infection is not good, but it is always a risk with that sort of problem. With prompt medical treatment (antibiotics) he should be fine.
